AgFed CU Foundation Supports American Red Cross Wildfire Relief Efforts

The AgFed Credit Union Foundation is proud to support the American Red Cross in its mission to assist individuals and families impacted by the Greater Los Angeles wildfires. Our $1,000 donation will help provide emergency shelter, relief supplies, meals, and critical recovery services to those affected. We remain committed to strengthening communities in times of crisis and standing alongside partners who deliver hope when it’s needed most.

The AgFed Credit Union Foundation is proud to support Bread for the City and its mission to provide vital services to individuals and families in our community. Our $1,000 donation will help deliver food, clothing, and essential resources to those in need, including families impacted by the government shutdown during this holiday season. We remain committed to strengthening our communities and supporting partners who bring relief and hope when it matters most.

2024 Community Outreach

At AgFed CU Foundation, we are committed to giving back and making a positive impact in the wake of disaster. We are proud to announce our $1,200 donation to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Milton and Helene relief efforts. Thanks to your generous contributions and our matching funds, we raised an incredible $500! Thank you for joining us in making a positive impact! Together, we can brighten lives!

2023 Community Outreach

For the fourth consecutive year, the AgFed Credit Union Foundation hosted a fundraiser benefiting Bread for the City. Thanks to your generous contributions and our dollar-for-dollar match, we’ve collected $2,216.14! We are hoping that this donation will help Bread for the City to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most this holiday season and throughout the year! Thank you for all your support and for helping us to help others!

In August, the Foundation donated $2,500.00 to Maui Food Bank, Wailuku, HI to help the people of Lahaina affected by the wildfires. Our commitment to helping those in need is unwavering and this contribution is our way of making a difference in the lives of Maui’s families affected by these devastating events.

2022 Community Outreach

For the third consecutive year, the AgFed Credit Union Foundation hosted a fundraiser benefiting Bread for the City. Thanks to your generous contributions and our dollar-for-dollar match, we’ve collected $3,871.64!

We are hoping that this donation will help Bread for the City to continue providing services to the most vulnerable in our community this holiday season!

This year, the Foundation also made donations to two organizations providing relief in the areas devastated by Hurricane Ian. We are hoping that our donations to the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southeast Florida and Save the Children will provide some much-needed relief in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.

Our mission is to enrich the lives of our community, both local and extended. We hope that our charitable contribution will ensure that food, water, and emergency shelter are readily available to keep children from harm and help families rebuild their lives.

2021 Community Outreach

For a second consecutive year, the AgFed Credit Union Foundation hosted a fundraiser benefiting Bread for the City. Thanks to your generous contributions and our dollar-for-dollar match, we’ve collected $3,403.10!

We are hoping that this donation will help Bread for the City to continue providing food, clothing, and other essential resources to the most vulnerable in our community this holiday season!

With your generous donations and the AgFed Credit Union Foundation‘s matching, we more than doubled our contribution to the Children’s National Hospital this year! With your help, we’ve collected $2,226.38! And just in time for the holidays!

We are hoping that this donation will help Children’s National Hospital with their continuing efforts to provide children in our area with an outstanding level of care and bring some much-needed smiles!

2020 Community Outreach

During these challenging times, we want to help some of our local non-profits that continue to fight on the front-lines to help families across DC affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you DC Central Kitchen and Bread for the City for continuing to do everything you can to help DC’s most vulnerable and to create opportunities in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. We appreciate all that you do and we hope that our small gesture of gratitude will help with your efforts to empower our community.

In October, the Foundation’s treasurer – Elard Phillips, personally delivered our donation of $2,500.00 to New Zion Baptist Church, New Orleans, LA. The parish in Louisiana was affected by the recent tropical storm and hurricane devastating the area.

Our mission is to enrich the lives of our community, both local and extended. We hope that our charitable contribution will make a difference in the lives of the individuals who have suffered during the torrential rains and tropical storms.

We are so grateful for all of your generous donations!

2019 Community Outreach

In 2019, the AgFed Credit Union Foundation donated money to 10 local schools in Maryland, DC, and Virginia to help students in need with necessities including, school supplies, sports equipment, school uniforms, and funding school trips. The list of schools who received a donation:

In addition, the Foundation has donated to the Kiwanis Children’s Fund in memory of Preston Davis since during his life he was an active member of Kiwanis. The Foundation has also donated to the Stoneman Douglas Victims’ Fund.

With the help of all of you who donated canned goods and funds, we were able to contribute to Bread for the City’s effort to help people in need and put a meal on their table for Thanksgiving! Thank you for all your support!

Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2019 AgFed CU Foundation Toy Drive, we were able to collect and deliver all theses wonderful gifts to the Children’s National – Main Hospital! And right on time for the holidays!
